I want you to think back to your childhood for a few moments and think about your favorite toy. What was it? Maybe it was dolls, GI Joe's, Lego's, Transformers, micro machines, etc. I bet if you think really hard you'll remember one toy that came occasionally that was better than all the rest. Let me give you a few clues...
1. It's brown.
2. It usually didn't last very long. (At least at our house it didn't.)
3. It was usually leftover from something entirely different that your parents had bought.
Still can't remember... Let me tell you. It's the one-of-a-kind, totally amazing,
CARDBOARD BOX.
Don't you remember when your parents would get something big in a box and you hoped and hoped that they would remember to give you the box instead of throwing it away. You were lucky if you got a t.v. or washing machine box and then there was the Holy Grail of all boxes...the refrigerator box. I only remember getting one of those as a kid and it took up our whole bedroom. Ahh...the heaven of childhood memories.
Last night a friend of ours dropped off a couple of furniture boxes and we got Christmas in April. It was especially entertaining for Levi and Caleb. They immediately came up with a plan of how to connect the boxes together and make an awesome fort for Michael. The only problem was that Michael wasn't big enough to help them with what they were doing, and he was having a hard time waiting. I finally found him some markers so he could decorate the outside.
Enjoy the pictures of our fun time and remember your own box adventures.
