Labor Day Weekend

This past Labor Day Weekend was full of a lot of fun for us. Labor Day always means a reunion on the mountain for my dad's side of the family. We have dinner and breakfast together and work on cabins. This past weekend we were putting in a septic tank at our cabin. Here are a few pictures of the boys hard at work or maybe hardly working? You be the judge.

Liam and I also had some fun babysitting my cousins little boy Carter for a morning. He's about 3 months older than Liam, but Liam is a bit bigger. Both of the boys wanted to be outside and it was pretty warm so I stripped them down, turned on the hose and let them loose.

Liam is trying to escape down the stairs while all Carter wanted to do was figure out how to drink out of the hose with the shower head on it. He got pretty good at it after awhile.

Catching Up With the Mallorys

I finally have a free moment to try and update my blog. We have just been running around living a pretty normal life. We just completed some soundproofing changes in our basement and had some new renters move in. We effectively redid the ceiling in 3 rooms in a week. Levi was working so hard.

I have started work again. Our School District combined our two elementary schools into one new building. It is huge and the grounds aren't quite finished yet, so everyone is just making things up as they go. Hopefully things will settle into a routine quickly.

Michael continues to grow like crazy. He just got taller, so he's all skin and bones and all of his pants are high waters. He has also discovered "The Magic School Bus" books and he really loves those.

Liam is also growing like crazy. We think he is trying to grow legs like his uncle Jeremy because his 12 month pants are already getting to short for him. Liam also got his first haircut this past month. It was getting pretty long and mullet like in the back, so my mom trimmed it for us.

Liam has also been learning to walk. He can do it, but he has terrible balance and he gets frustrated easily. Walking, for now at least, is much slower than the "bear crawl" that he normally does. We try to encourage him to walk every chance we get. I imagine he'll take off before too long. Then we'll all be in trouble. Here's a video of what he can do for those of you who were asking.
